Aisha Yesufu, a prominent activist, has made a bold statement about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), calling it a threat to opposition.
According to Yesufu, the PDP’s downfall began in 2014 when they treated Nigerians with disdain, acting as if they were above the law.
Yesufu took to X to express her thoughts, saying: “The same PDP we were attacked for is the PDP you now know is destroyed? PDP was destroyed since 2014! They believed they were untouchable and treated Nigerians like lepers.” She also added, “Anyway na when person wake up be im morning. Let me repeat! PDP is a threat to opposition.”
The PDP is currently facing a leadership crisis, with disagreements over the seat of the National Chairman. Segun Sowunmi, a PDP chieftain and former spokesman of Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Tinubu of fueling the crisis by appointing Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory without consulting the party’s elders.
