The Academy of Gospel Music in Nigeria has announced Sunday, August 9, 2026, as the official date for the 5th edition of the Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards (NIGMA), scheduled to hold at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.The announcement marks the return of one of Nigeria’s most respected gospel music recognition platforms, dedicated to celebrating excellence, creativity, impact, and innovation within the gospel music industry.
According to the organizers, NIGMA 2026 will go beyond recognizing outstanding achievements in gospel music by championing a nationwide Mental Health Awareness Campaign aimed at promoting hope, emotional wellbeing, and support for individuals facing mental health challenges.
