50 REVOLUTIONARY GBOSAS FOR BARRISTER OLA FATAI ADEOSUN

We are so proud of your feat and achievements over the years as a foremost people’s lawyer and a revolutionary activist. Solidarity forever.

PROFILE OF BAR. OLA FATAI ADEOSUN

Born on 16th November, 1973 at Mafoluku area of the current Oshodi-Isolo Local
Government Area of Lagos State into the family of the Late Sheikh Tijani Madam Khadijah Adeosun of Agboro-Ode’s Compound, Ogbomoso in the present day Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He started his educational pursuit at the prestigious ADRAO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Victoria Island Lagos, State before proceeding to the then Barracks Primary School (now Central Primary School), Kiri-Kiri, area of Lagos State where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate with a Distinction and had the overall best result in Lagos State for the year.

He proceeded to Dr. Lucas Memorial High School, Kiri-Kiri, Lagos state and Ogbomoso Grammar School, Ogbomoso, Oyo state in pursuit of his Secondary School education.
His quest to positively impact the society and his fellow human beings had always made him admire the Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi and Late Alao Aka-Basorun in their struggles and fights for the oppressed masses of the Nigerian nation.

He was admitted on merit into the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan in the 1997/98 session while in the second semester of his final year at LASU! He immediately accepted the admission, resumed and consolidated on what he knows how to do best, fight the cause of students and the downtrodden masses of Nigeria with full-fledged involvement in Students Union activities from his first year as a Student of U.I and he was appointed the Chairman of the Students’ Union Week organizing Committee the same year.

Subsequently, he was elected as the Speaker of the Students Representative Council, Student’s Union, University of Ibadan.

As a consistent Students Union activist, he had his own share of the attack from both the then Military Junta and authoritarian leadership of the University of Ibadan but in all God saw him through all these hurdles.

As a practicing lawyer, he currently lives his dream, he is an active member of the Civil Society in Nigeria, as he is more involved in cases meant to protect the rights of poor citizens on the verge of being oppressed by the state or members of the oppressor ruling class.

He is a social critic and a public affairs analyst, whose position had remained consistent, irrespective of the political party in power.

He is currently the Oyo State Deputy Coordinator of the Joint Action Front (JAF), an amalgam of all Labour and Civil Society organization in Nigeria.

He is happily married to Bukola and they are blessed with brilliant children.
