Egbin Power has awarded scholarships to 14 students from its host communities, marking the 9th edition of its annual scholarship program.
The initiative, aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), provides access to inclusive, equitable, and quality education.
Egbin Power CEO, Mokhtar Bounour, emphasized the program’s impact, stating, “Education is a fundamental right, not a privilege. We believe it’s a powerful tool for transformation.”
The scholarship covers tuition, textbooks, uniforms, and a tablet for e-textbooks. Beneficiaries will attend Powerfields Schools, owned by Egbin Power.
Since its inception, the program has supported hundreds of students, fostering problem-solving skills, teamwork, and social abilities.
Parents, teachers, and beneficiaries praised Egbin Power’s generosity and commitment to education.
