Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo State and current senator representing Edo North, has accused the state government of denying the All Progressives Congress (APC) access to public schools for their governorship campaign.
Oshiomhole, who spoke during an APC campaign event in Uromi, expressed frustration that the schools he built during his tenure are now being denied to his party for campaign purposes.
He threatened to retaliate by banning Governor Godwin Obaseki from using federal roads in the state if the denial continues.
Meanwhile, Matthew Urhokhide, Director General of the APC Campaign, urged the people to vote for the APC in the upcoming election. He mentioned the party’s choice of Senator Okpebholo as their candidate, stating his commitment to the Esan agenda and his ability to listen to the people’s concerns.
Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate, promised to create over 5,000 jobs and declare a state of emergency in key sectors such as roads, education, health, and security. He also vowed to introduce modern farming techniques, ensure a peaceful environment, and eradicate kidnapping and other vices that have affected the state under the current administration.
