Nigerian Children Cultural Heritage (NCCH) presents the Garri Carnival 2025. It is a 3-day festival that showcases Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. The event is supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and supported by The NAIJA POETRY FEST. It is set to take place from December 19th to 21st, 2025, at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The Garri Carnival is a celebration of Nigerian tradition, community, and cultural identity, centered around garri, a staple food in Nigerian culture. The festival features three themed days: “Jeans And Jersey Day”, “Adire Day”, and “Cultural Carnival Costume Day.”
There are several activities prepared for the day. They include: Cultural performances showcasing Nigerian dance, music, and artistry, Garri-themed exhibitions and food displays featuring garri-based delicacies, Food, clothes, jewelry, and art exhibition, Fashion show showing Nigerian cultural fashion, Garri-themed poetry competitions, Miss & Mister Garri Carnival pageant, and Music, comedy, and contemporary arts blending tradition and modern flair.
NCCH invites brands and organizations to partner in celebrating Nigerian cultural heritage. The organization promotes Nigerian languages, cultural values, and heritage among children and communities through education, arts, and cultural initiatives.
