The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has teamed up with the organizers of Carnival Calabar as the official sponsor for the 2024 edition.
This partnership brings unparalleled support and innovation, taking the festival to new heights of excitement and prestige.
According to Oliver Alawuba, GMD/CEO of UBA, “Like you may be aware, this is not our first time partnering with Cross River State for this festival. At UBA, we are all about bringing Africa to the world and bringing the world to Africa. No wonder, we have 18 subsidiaries across Africa and counting.”
This collaboration is a testament to UBA’s commitment to celebrating African culture and driving economic growth through tourism. The 2024 Carnival Calabar promises to be a dynamic celebration of African traditions, creativity, and unity, with this year’s theme being “Our Shared Prosperity.”
The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, expressed his excitement about the festival, saying, “We are thrilled to present an even greater array of activities, as we come together to celebrate Our Shared Prosperity.”
Mary Ephraim-Egbas, CEO of Okhma Global Limited, praised UBA’s role, stating, “UBA’s participation not only enhances the event but also plays a vital role in boosting African tourism.
