The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director General, Brig Gen YD Ahmed, has given a safety advice to corps members.
He cautioned them against engaging in high risk activities throughout their service year. Specifically, he has warned them against traveling late at night.
He advised that they should not embark on journeys that would extend beyond 6 pm. If corps members find themselves on the road at this hour, they are instructed to seek accommodation at the nearest military barracks or NYSC formations.
This guidance is aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of corps members and they are encouraged to take advantage of available facilities such as Corps Lodges, NYSC State Secretariats, and palaces to pass the night if their journey cannot be completed before 6 pm.
