A major breakthrough has occurred in Nigeria’s energy sector with the launch of petrol production at the Dangote Refinery, led by Aliko Dangote.
This achievement is a significant step towards ending the petrol shortage that has affected millions of Nigerians.
The refinery aims to boost economic growth by providing a reliable source of energy.
Aliko Dangote praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating a supportive environment that enabled the refinery’s success. He acknowledged the government’s efforts in making it possible for the project to be successful.
Dangote also commended President Tinubu’s “Naira for crude, Naira for product” policy, which he believes will help stabilize the Naira by reducing the country’s reliance on dollars.
With the refinery now operational, it will be possible to track energy consumption in Nigeria accurately.
The refinery is designed to meet the energy needs of Nigeria and neighboring countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
