Married woman tops UDUS medical class with 23 awards.

Sumayyah Abdallah, a 24-year-old medical graduate from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has emerged the best-graduating student of her class.

She received 23 awards including plaques and cash prizes totaling N400,000. Her exceptional performance is a testament to her unwavering dedication, perseverance, and hard work, which enabled her to excel despite the challenges she faced during her academic journey.

Sumayyah’s story is inspiring, as she balanced her studies with marriage and motherhood. She got married in 2021, immediately after completing her 400 level studies and gave birth just three weeks before her 500-level examinations.

Despite these responsibilities, she remained focused and determined. She gave credit to her marital status for giving her more motivation to succeed.

Throughout her eight-year academic journey, Sumayyah demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, earning numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding performance.s.
