TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF) 2026 has officially announced its return with a compelling theme designed to reshape the narrative around the creative sector: “The Spark: Igniting the African Economy Through Stage Craft.” Scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th, and Thursday, November 19th, 2026, the grand two-day event will span two iconic venues in Lagos—Shodex Gardens in Ilupeju and the Agip Recital Hall at the MUSON Centre, Onikan.
This year’s edition is designed as an immersive festival featuring a rich potpourri of activities aimed at bridging performance art, social advocacy, and enterprise. Day One at Shodex Gardens will launch with energetic outdoor activations, including Street Theatres, an Arts & Brand Exhibition, “A Walk for Peace,” and the impactful Africa Rise Against Malaria (ARAM) Advocacy campaign, engaging the public directly through performance and awareness.
The momentum moves indoors on Day Two at the prestigious MUSON Centre, where thought leadership and elite performances take center stage. Attendees will experience the Stakeholders Roundtable, Master Class Series, the Generation Next Theatre (GNT) showcase, and the highly anticipated “Veteran Fireside Conversation Spotlight,” bringing together industry pioneers and emerging talents for strategic dialogues.
