Welcome Speech by Adeniji Omirin the President of EMCOAN — NEMCEA 2026
The Honourable Minister, Distinguished Director-Generals, Captains of Industry, our Sponsors and Partners, Esteemed Stakeholders, Members of the Media, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen.
On behalf of our BOT Chairman, Dr Opa Williams, the Patron Mr Yinka Adebayo and the entire EMCOAN family, It is my honour and privilege to officially welcome you all to the 5th NEMCEA 2026.
We are particularly delighted to have you with us as we gather under this year’s powerful theme: “The Creator’s Economy – Elevate Your Craft, Secure Your Future.”
NEMCEA has evolved into a significant marketplace for the discovery, exchange, exhibition and celebration of TV, radio and electronic media content, and this year’s edition has been deliberately designed to create even greater opportunities for learning, networking, collaboration and business.
Over the next two days, we will engage in conversations that matter to the future of our industry. Our DG’s Roundtable will bring regulators and industry leaders together for frank and constructive conversations on the direction of Nigeria’s electronic media ecosystem.
Our Masterclass Series will provide practical knowledge and fresh perspectives to help content creators and practitioners sharpen their skills and remain competitive in this rapidly changing environment.
Our Content Exhibition will provide the marketplace for content owners, producers, buyers, broadcasters and other stakeholders to connect, discover opportunities and explore the commercial value of Nigerian content.
And, of course, we shall conclude with the NEMCEA Awards Night, where we will celebrate excellence, creativity and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s electronic media content industry.
