Ekiti Residents Praised Governor Oyebanji’s Transformational Projects

Ekiti State residents have praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration for its transformative impact on the state’s economy and social wellbeing.

The residents’ commendations came during a media tour and on-the-spot assessment of projects completed by the Oyebanji administration over the past three years.

The completion of the Iworoko-Are-Afao-Ado-Ekiti Ring Road has increased commercial activities in the rice-producing community of Igbemo Ekiti. One of the residents, Gboyega Ojo said that that the ring road, which connects several communities, has increased commerce, attracted visitors, and eased movement.

The renovation of the General Hospital in Ilupeju has improved access to better medical care. Another resident, Ajoke Aderemi expressed gratitude for the new medical facilities and free healthcare for pregnant women. “I delivered my two children in a private hospital but the one on my back was delivered here in this hospital. We thank the government for improving this place and making pregnant women get free health care.”

Parents and students have praised the renovation of public schools, including Egbeoba High School and Aisegba Community Grammar School. Olusegun Ajayi, a parent, said that the improved facilities have increased enrollment. “Before, the buildings in this school were dilapidated, parents preferred private schools, but today, the facilities have improved, and enrolment has increased because many parents have withdrawn their children from private schools.”

Youths have commended the governor’s agricultural initiatives, including the Erifun Livestock project and Renewed Hope Farms. Ayomide Oluwale, a livestock farmer, praised the training program.

Residents urged Governor Oyebanji to continue improving rural road infrastructure and sustaining agricultural initiatives in his second term.
