It was another gathering of the creative minds using the Naija Poetry Fest platform to bring arts, poetry and creativity to life.

The Naija Poetry Fest Community delivered yet another inspiring edition of its monthly series, Poetic Rendezvous, themed “Who Will Tell Your Story?”. The event held on Saturday, 15 November 2025, at Alliance Française de Lagos, Mike Adenuga Centre, 9 Osborne Road, Ikoyi. In collaboration with the cultural centre, the literary community transformed the space into a warm, immersive hub for poets, creatives and lovers of the arts.

Anchored by the dynamic Priceless Onyegbuna, the programme opened with a stirring performance by Majesty Obi, whose piece “Who Is My Neighbour?” urged the audience to reflect deeply on unity, empathy and communal responsibility. This was followed by a gripping reading from Godson Osarenren, Convener of the monthly series, who delivered “Chickens in the Cathedral” from his poetic compendium Bush Radio. His evocative storytelling drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The Reigning Queen of the event added poise and emotional resonance with a heartfelt poetic offering, enriching the afternoon’s artistic diversity.

The keynote address, delivered by Prof. Yinka Omorogbe (SAN), former Attorney General of Edo State, emphasised the enduring power of drama and performance to leave lasting impressions on the mind. She highlighted how the performing arts continue to shape cultural memory and transmit stories across time.

The atmosphere soared even higher when Emmy X Ogaga captivated the audience with a series of rap performances, weaving sharp punchlines with rhythmic flow and creative intensity.

To conclude the event, Mr. Adeniran led an Art as Therapy session, guiding participants through a calming creative exercise accompanied by the soothing music of Enya. This closing segment underscored the healing and restorative potential of art in supporting emotional and mental wellbeing.

This edition of Poetic Rendezvous reaffirmed the cultural richness of Nigerian storytelling, seamlessly blending poetry, music, performance, dialogue and therapeutic creativity into a memorable artistic encounter.
