A total of 100 students at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze in Anambra State have received scholarships to pursue degree and Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) programs.
Thirty-four students were awarded the Federal Government Education Bursary Awards, receiving N300,000 per session. Additionally, 55 students received sponsorship for a three-year NCE program courtesy of the Nwabugo Empowerment Foundation, founded by Shedrack Azubuike, Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area.
Seven students from the college also benefited from a scholarship scheme funded by Chief Chukwuebuka Onunkwo, CEO of Seahorse Lubricants. Onunkwo awarded a total of N10 million in scholarships to 50 underprivileged students in Anambra State, with each student receiving N200,000.
