It was a night to behold with stakeholders treated to traditional dances and performances during the Cocktail and Red Carpet. After over an hour of networking and interviews at the Red carpet ground, the door of the Ijakadi Theatre, Radisson Blu Hotel was flung open to Industry stakeholders, Guests, Nominees, Jurors, Media Houses and VVIPs in attendance. Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Network and FREE TV via One Music Channel broadcasted the proceedings live to the admiration of viewers all over the country. It was NEMCEA 2023 “The Awards”, a reward system and mechanism where excellence in content creation are celebrated with bias to stakeholders in TV, Radio and Online space.
NEMCEA “The Awards” is conceptualized to reward creativity, excellence and innovation in the electronic media content ecosystem in Nigeria and to also reward achievements in prime-time Television, Radio, and Online performances by all stakeholders within the content media industry. It is Nigeria’s leading Content Awards for TV, Radio and Online practitioners.
The 3rd day which was the Award nite came with it’s own glamour and effect with the keynote address given by a veteran actor/Lecturer, Creative Art, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Dr. Tunji Sotimirin who charged the stakeholders to increase their standard of production to be able to meet up with the unique podium and criteria set by NEMCEA “The Awards” yearly. He congratulated all the Nomineees and wish them well. In the word of the Chairman of the JURY for the Award, Francis Onwochie he said ” Awards and reward system globally help to inspire output. Most of the awards this year are competitive, some are non-competitive, and so internally administered” he submitted.
