Nigerian Fuji icon Adewale Ayuba has announced that he will be releasing a new album titled “Arise”on September 19, 2026, and he describes it as the start of a fresh phase in his career. Speaking in Lagos during the week, the Bonsue Fuji crooner said the project was born out of the need to align with how music is being consumed today.
According to him, the days of 30-minute songs and lengthy albums are behind him. He explained that he is now focusing on shorter songs and more frequent releases, which is why he chose to put out “Arise” as a compact five-track body of work. He said the title itself represents a new journey, a deliberate shift from the old format to something more in tune with current listening habits.
Ayuba noted that he had already tested the waters with recent singles like _“Koloba Koloba”_ and “Uncommon” and the positive response from listeners gave him the confidence to compile them into a full project. The album will feature songs such as “Ileke”, “All Over the World”, “Kututu”, “Yetunde” and “Aloyin Lohun”, and it will be released globally across all digital platforms.
While the format is changing, Ayuba was quick to point out that the heart of his music remains the same. He said his work has always been driven by messages and not just entertainment, and that even with this new approach he will not compromise on quality or content. He added that he simply wants people to know that he is versatile and can do anything with music.
