Golden Penny Soup Festival 2.0 lands in Ibadan

GOLDEN PENNY SOUP FESTIVAL 2.0 BRINGS THE HEAT TO IBADAN WITH A CELEBRATION OF NIGERIAN DISHES.

The Golden Penny Soup Festival 2.0, sponsored by Golden Penny Semovita, transformed the Ibadan Recreation Club into a vibrant culinary haven on July 27th.

It attracted a massive crowd of over 8,000 people. The event was a celebration of Nigerian cuisine. It featured diverse soup stalls showcasing soups such as Egusi, Banga, Ila Alasepo, and Efo Riro. They were all paired with Semovita.

Beyond the food, the festival presented a wide range of engaging activities. This includes cooking competitions, dancing contests, and masterclasses led by renowned chefs Geena, Amaka, and Dee. The masterclasses provided attendees with valuable culinary insights.

A dedicated Kids’ Arena ensured that the event was enjoyable for all ages. It featured bouncing castles and face painting.

The festival’s atmosphere was further enhanced by the hosting duo of KieKie and Password as well as amazing musical performances by Crayon and Segun Johnson.

Lucky attendees had the opportunity to win exciting prizes including cash, kitchen appliances, and product hampers, in a festive raffle draw.

With its success, the Golden Penny Soup Festival has solidified its position as a premier celebration of Nigerian culinary traditions, music, and community spirit. They promised to continue captivating audiences in the years to come.
