Specifically on October 1st, Nigeria just celebrated its 64th Independence Day, and despite the economic challenges the country is facing, celebrities like Funke Akindele and Mr. Eazi took to social media to share encouraging messages.
Funke Akindele’s post on Instagram and TikTok was particularly heartfelt, expressing her love for Nigeria and her determination to stay and contribute to its growth, even when many others are choosing to “japa” (leave the country)

For me, I will not japa, I will remain in Nigeria, Nigeria go better. “
