Nutrify to Build Multimillion-Naira Factory in Nigeria.

By Oyinkansayo Wole-Bodunde.

A multinational company, Nutrify, is planning to build a multimillion-naira factory in Nigeria to produce health supplements.

This decision comes despite some multinationals leaving the country.
Nutrify wants to meet the growing demand for its products in Africa, create jobs, and boost the local economy.

The company’s regional sales manager, Ehimen Oaikhena, explained that they currently source raw materials from Nigeria and other African countries but process them in Asia.

By producing locally, they aim to make their products more affordable and increase the local content from 65% to 90%.

Nutrify’s products are already popular across Africa and they plan to improve their affordability and availability. The company has a strong research and development team and they understand the Nigerian market.

The decision to build a factory in Nigeria is also because of the need to close the gaps in the health supplements market, particularly in terms of affordability and access to appropriate products.

Oaikhena emphasized that Nutrify’s products are certified by NAFDAC and have ISO certifications, ensuring their quality and safety.

The company recently sponsored a wellness retreat for pharmacists and consumers, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare and certified nutraceutical products.

They also called for stronger regulatory monitoring to prevent the misuse of medications and ensure that citizens have access to accurate information about healthcare products.
