Rema, a popular Afrobeats artist, has shown his appreciation to a Christ Embassy church in Benin, Edo State, that helped him and his family in a big way.

He gave the church a total of 105 million naira to help with different areas of the church

Rema said he wanted to thank the church for being there for him and his family, especially when his father passed away. He remembered how the church helped his mother take care of them when they had nothing.

He said, “I’m not here to give myself any accolades or glory. I’m here to give God the glory. I feel like it is important to give back because the church has embraced, and prayed for me, and has kept me very consistent with my spirit.

Rema gave 40 million naira to help build the church, 20 million naira to Rhapsody of Realities, 25 million naira to help the youth group he grew up in and he also gave 20 million naira to help widows in the church.

He remembered how the church helped his family when they were struggling. He had just lost his father and they felt abandoned. The church in leadership of Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, came through for them. They opened a shop for his mother in which she used to take care of them.

Rema’s kind gesture was captured on video and has inspired many people.
