Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has taken significant steps to enhance the education system in the state.

During the 9th Anambra State Executive Council meeting in Awka, Soludo approved several initiatives aimed at improving learning facilities in secondary schools. These include upgrading to smart boards and providing tablets for teachers in 22 designated smart schools across the state.

Additionally, Soludo awarded a contract for the reconstruction of Boy’s Secondary School in Uga, which will serve as a model school for the state. He also approved free internet access for Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University’s Uli Campus.

The governor’s initiatives extend to his free education policy, which has been expanded to cover Senior Secondary School Year 3 (SS3). Furthermore, the state has recruited 3,115 more teachers, bringing the total to over 8,200. Soludo has also restored electricity to the Uli campus of COOU after a 21-year outage.
