US President, Donald Trump announced a military strike against ISIS terrorists in Northwest Nigeria on Christmas Day, targeting camps in Sokoto state.

The operation was carried out with Nigerian authorities, and aimed to disrupt ISIS activities and protect civilians.

Trump stated that ISIS had been killing innocent Christians, and he delayed the strike to be on the same day with Christmas, saying, “They didn’t think that was coming, but we hit them hard. Every camp got decimated.”

The strikes involved Tomahawk missiles fired from a Navy vessel and Reaper drones, resulting in multiple ISIS terrorists killed.

Nigerian Foreign Minister, Yusuf Tuggar emphasized that the operation was not about religion, but about protecting Nigerians and the wider region. He also said that Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu gave the go-ahead for the strike.

Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth hinted at further action, saying that there is more to come.
