A Fragile Peace
In a world torn apart by strife,
Where conflict and chaos reign in life,
Peace is a fleeting dream, a rare reprieve,
A moment’s calm, before the storm we retrieve.
Like a delicate flower, it blooms in the night,
Its petals fragile, its beauty a gentle light,
It whispers softly, a soothing melody,
A balm for the weary, a solace for humanity.
But peace is not just a feeling, a state of mind,
It’s a choice we make, a commitment we design,
To lay down our arms, to still our angry voices,
To listen, to understand, to make some joyful choices.
It’s a peace that’s built on justice, on equality too,
On recognizing our shared humanity, our common truth,
It’s a peace that’s forged in the fire of our struggles,
A peace that’s tempered by our tears, our laughter, and our troubles.
