Ahead of the November 11, governorship election in Imo State, the All Progressives Congress has said it will inaugurate its National Campaign Council for the election on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
The event will take place at Landmark Event Centre, Owerri, Imo State at 11:00 a.m.
The campaign council, which has Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, as its chairman, comprises 225 members.
According to a release by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Sulaiman Argungu, the National Chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje approved the composition of the campaign council after consulting with the National Working Committee.
The release noted that Ebonyi State Governor, Hon. Francis Nwifuru, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Hon. Uche Nnaji and the member representing Isuikwuato-Umunneochi federal constituency, Abia State, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, will be the co-chairman.
The former deputy governor of Anambra state, H. E Nkem Okeke, according to the release will be the secretary of the council.

Council with the primary purpose of leading the Gubernatorial Campaign in Imo State and ensuring the triumph of our great Party at the November 11, 2023 Governorship election,” the statement noted.
