Lisabi: A Legend is Born Premieres in Lagos

The highly anticipated premiere of “Lisabi: A Legend is Born”, a film produced by Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, happened on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Onikan, Lagos.

The event was a big celebration of Yoruba culture, with the venue and artistic displays showcasing the rich heritage of the Yoruba culture.

When guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric, with excitement building on the red carpet. When asked about the movie, which is a sequel to “Lisabi: An Uprising”released in 2024, Adedimeji shared, “People should look forward to answers to all of the questions they asked when they saw the first part. All the questions will be answered when they see the second part of the film.”

Adedimeji also shared the challenges he faced while filming saying, “It was challenging bringing people together for the number of days that we had to shoot. It was a lot of work, but it was interesting all the way, having to go through sequences of fights. I am glad it came out well, and people are going to see it.”

Several celebrities attended the premiere including Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Yinka Quadri, Jide Awobona, Saga, Phyna, Liquorose, ID Cabasa, Mr Macaroni, and Boma Akpore, among others.
