Nestlé Nigeria has introduced Golden Morn 3in1, the country’s first fully ready-to-eat cereal, as part of its commitment to providing accessible and affordable nutrition.
This innovative product combines the popular flavors of Maize and Soya with milk, requiring only water to create a nutritious meal.
Since its launch in 1986, Golden Morn has become Nigeria’s most popular cereal. The introduction of Golden Morn 3in1 marks a significant milestone in convenience and nutrition, providing families with an easy and cost-effective solution to their dietary needs.
At the launch event, Wassim Elhusseini, Managing Director and CEO of Nestlé Nigeria, highlighted the company’s focus on consumer-driven innovation. He said, “Golden Morn 3in1 represents a significant advancement in convenience and affordability, making it easier than ever for families to enjoy a nutritious meal. Developed over a two-year period through meticulous research and consumer insights, this product delivers the right balance of nutrition and taste at a price that works for Nigerian households.”
The launch of Golden Morn 3in1 comes at a time when many Nigerians face challenges in accessing affordable and balanced diets. According to a 2024 report, 172 million Nigerians were unable to afford a healthy diet in 2022. This highlights the need for accessible and nutritious food options.
Omofasa Orhiunu, Category Manager for Healthy Cereals at Nestlé Nigeria, emphasized the product’s significance in addressing this nutritional gap. “With no fewer than 172 million Nigerians unable to afford a healthy diet, we recognize the urgent need for solutions that provide affordable, nutritious meals.
