Seun Kuti has refused to take sides in the ongoing fight between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.
During a recent Instagram live session, Kuti clarified his position after fans attempted to drag him into the controversy.
Kuti stated that receiving diamond jewelry from Burna Boy doesn’t make him Burna’s close adviser. He also stated that Diddy, who Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of having an illicit relationship with, was responsible for boosting Speed Darlington’s popularity.
He said, “Don’t involve me in Burna Boy & Speed Darlington’s case; because I collected a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser. Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular. He reposted ‘Bangdadang’ which made the song popular. I have done a lot of songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington’s song.”
Kuti emphasized the complexity of the situation and stated his decision to remain neutral.
