Showmax is set to unveil the second season of its Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) nominated drama series, “Flawsome.”
The highly anticipated release is scheduled for February 12, 2024, aligning with the relaunch of the upgraded Showmax app.
In its debut season, “Flawsome” captivated audiences by exploring the lives of four ambitious friends – Ifeyinwa, Ramat, Ivie, and Dolapo – navigating individual growth and an unbreakable bond.
Season 1 unfolded various challenges for each character, from career crises to unraveling marriages.
The upcoming Season 2 promises a deeper exploration of these women’s lives, addressing lingering questions such as the potential reconciliation between Ramat and Uduak or Ramat’s choice between Godspower.
Fans can also expect resolutions to Dolapo’s career challenges, Ifeyinwa’s pursuit of independence from her father’s company, and Ivie’s lessons from personal and professional relationships.
Returning to the series are familiar faces like Gabriel Afolayan, Shine Rosman, Eso Dike, Baaj Adebule, and others, adding fresh dimensions to the storyline.
The first season received acclaim, earning five nominations at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, including Best Television Series. Actors Ini-Dima Okojie and Enado Odigie secured nominations for Best Actress In A Drama, Movie Or TV Series.
“Flawsome” also bagged nominations for Best Lighting Designer and Best Cinematographer, winning the title of Bella Naija Style’s The Definitive Best Dressed List: Most Fashionable TV Show of 2023.
Dami Elebe, known for hits like “Skinny Girl in Transit,” was confirmed as the head writer for Season 2, adding to the series’ creative prowess.
