Speed Darlington has lashed out at those who are tired of supporting him, telling them to “get lost.”
The singer’s outburst came after he parted ways with his lawyer, Stanley Alieke, who had announced the separation on Instagram.
Darlington had recently been released from prison by the Nigerian police, where he was held for allegedly cyberstalking fellow musician Burna Boy. The singer has been in a public feud with Burna Boy, and was arrested twice in October and November 2024.
In a viral video, Darlington told his supporters that he doesn’t need their advice on how to handle the situation. He said, “I’m on my way to the studio for more music. My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, you get lost. And let my God guide me. Support, support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up. Let me do what I want and keep your advice to yourself. I have been there and done that; the fear is not the same.”
He also posted Burna Boy, captioning the video, “Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria. Yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer. And this is only what you can say? Leave him and move on.”
