Tiwa Savage, one of Nigeria’s top female artists, has opened up again about the period her intimate video with her partner was leaked.
She revealed that it coincided with the mourning of her late father.
In a heartfelt chat with Zeze Mills, the singer said that it was the lowest point of her life. She said, “It was a space of like two months where my dad died and my sex tape was released.”
Tiwa Savage said she was able to cope with the situation by making a conscious effort not to dwell on it.
During an earlier conversation with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1, Tiwa Savage said that the clip was posted by someone who had been trying to blackmail her. She said the individual attempted to extort money, but she refused to give in to the threat.
