Gospel singer Laolu Gbenjo shared his thoughts on music diversity, saying that a world with only gospel music would be dull.
In a Channels Television interview, he stressed the need for variety in music, explaining that different occasions call for different types of songs. For example, weddings require love songs, while joyful events need celebration praise.
Gbenjo believes that music should be sincere and authentic, catering to various emotions and experiences. He recalled how the COVID-19 lockdown inspired him to create a new niche, Alujo Special, where he sang personalized songs for individuals who sent in their photos.
Gbenjo also shared how his father, a pastor, influenced his singing career. He started singing in his father’s church and eventually developed his own unique style.
Gbenjo’s message emphasizes the importance of diversity and creativity in music, allowing artists to connect with people in various ways and make a meaningful impact.
