A group of over 20 medical and dental students of University of Maiduguri and a house officer, were abducted by armed men in Benue State while traveling to a conference.
They were on their way to attend the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students’ annual convention in Enugu when they were attacked in the Otukpo area, Benue State, around 5:30 pm.
According to spokesperson SP Catherine Anene,” The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the incident and started investigating.
