Senator Natasha Accuses Akpabio of Sexual Harassment

By Oyinkansayo Wole-Bodunde

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially lodged a petition with the Senate, alleging that Senate President Godswill Akpabio sexually harassed her.

This complaint follows her initial public disclosure of the allegations on national television. Akpabio has instructed her to go ahead with the petition submission.

The petition was submitted under Order 40 of the Senate Rules. Natasha’s petition comes after rival protests at the National Assembly. Her supporters are demanding Akpabio’s resignation, while a group backing the Senate President has rejected the allegations.

Also, Akpabio’s wife, Ekaette Akpabio, has publicly defended her husband, describing him as a man of integrity and discipline.
