TD Africa, in partnership with the Ministry of Women Affairs, has launched TecHERdemy, a program aimed at empowering 400 young Nigerian women with in-demand tech skills.
The six-month initiative will provide training in fields like cybersecurity, data science, AI, and software development, giving participants a boost in tech careers and bridging the gender gap in the industry.
Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Uju Kennedy, emphasized the program’s value, encouraging young women to seize this career-building opportunity.
TD Africa’s Managing Director, Mrs. Chioma Chimere, highlighted the program’s role in fostering a diverse and inclusive tech sector.
With support from global brands like Cisco, Microsoft, and Huawei, TecHERdemy will offer pathways to jobs or internships for participants, reflecting TD Africa’s commitment to a more equitable digital economy.
