Today, I shared a rare and pleasant moment with the legendary Wole Soyinka at the Wole Soyinka Theatre, as we marked the beauty and power of words on this year’s World Poetry Day.
With deep honour, I presented him a copy of my poetic compendium, “Bush Radio, ” a humble offering from one voice in the vast chorus of our literary heritage.
This encounter stirred memories of 2014, when our paths first crossed in Port Harcourt during its reign as the World Book Capital 2014, at the iconic Hotel Presidential.
Today was not just a meeting. It was a full circle of purpose, passion, and poetic continuity.
