President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting between President Tinubu and Wike is coming on the heels of the building collapse in Abuja.
The building collapsed two days after the former governor of Rivers State assumed duty as the FCT Minister.
At the time of filing of this report, the aim of the meeting had not been disclosed, but it may not be unconnected with the building collapse in Abuja on Wednesday in which about two persons were feared dead and 37 persons wounded.
Wike is expected to brief the president on the incident.

In a related development, Wike has ordered the immediate arrest of the owner of a two-storey building that collapsed in Abuja.
During a visit to the incident scene, Wike thanked the emergency agencies that assisted in rescuing the victims.
He also expressed sadness over the loss of two victims and appealed to the Permanent Secretary to raise funds for the hospital bills of those in the hospital.
Wike noted the area’s original residents were designated for resettlement, but for years, the FCT Administration could not carry out such resettlement.
