The 2026 grammys nominations are out, and some big Afrobeats stars are on the list.
On Friday, the shortlist revealed that Davido and Omah Lay’s collab, ‘With You’, is up for Best African Music Performance, alongside Burna Boy’s ‘Love’, Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s ‘Gimme Dat’, Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin’s ‘Hope & Love’, and Tyla’s ‘PUSH 2 START.’
Burna Boy, who has already taken home a Grammy, is nominated again for Best Global Music Album for ‘No Sign of Weakness’. Other nominees in this category include:
– Siddhant Bhatia’s ‘Sounds Of Kumbha’
– Youssou N’Dour’s ‘Eclairer le monde : Light the World’
– Shakti’s ‘Mind Explosion (50th Anniversary Tour Live)’
– Anoushka Shankar’s ‘Chapter III: We Return To Light’
– Caetano Veloso And Maria Bethânia’s ‘Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo’
The Best African Music Performance nominees are:
