The APC governorship candidate for Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, were greeted by thousands of supporters at the Chinua Achebe Airport in Umueri.
Ukachukwu expressed confidence in winning the election. He stated assurance from President Bola Tinubu, who told him to “go and get Anambra” for him.
Ukachukwu emphasized the need for party unity and promised to reward supporters if elected. He said, “I urge all of you to go home and mobilize. Let’s work together in unity. If we win, I won’t appoint only myself or hoard power.” He also vowed to bring progress and development to the state, which he described as being “in darkness and lagging behind.”
Senator Ekwunife assured that their joint ticket would bring victory for APC. He said, “We are in this race to win, and we will pursue every legal avenue to ensure that Anambra State is aligned with the federal government in Abuja.”
APC State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, chose Ukachukwu as the right candidate to win the governorship election. Ukachukwu plans to start consultative meetings with party stakeholders to plan for the upcoming campaign.
