Court Approves Three Overseas Labs Taking DNA Test for Mohbad’s Son

By Oyinkansayo Wole-Bodunde.

A Lagos State magistrate court in Ikorodu has given the green light for Mohbad’s son, Liam’s DNA test to be conducted in three overseas labs.

The court’s decision was shared by Oladayo Ogungbe, the lawyer representing Mohbad’s father, after a court session. Ogungbe revealed that one lab in the US and two in the UK have been authorized for the test. All parties will be present when samples are collected.

The singer’s wife, Wunmi, and his father, Joseph Aloba, each chose a lab, while the court selected an independent one. Ogungbe said, “The court has eventually picked three DNA Laboratory centres, two in the United Kingdom and one in the United States. One from us, one from them, and the court picked an independent one.”

The case has been adjourned to April 7, 2026, for sample collection, which will be overseen by welfare officers.
