The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) is pleased to announce the successful election and inauguration of its new Executive Council.

Following a transparent and democratic electoral process held at the EMCOAN Secretariat on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, a new leadership team has emerged to steer the affairs of the association for the 2026–2028 biennial term.

Vice President
The ceremony reached its peak during the manifestoes where candidates had opportunities to campaign and state they’d plans for the association. Questions were asked, observations made and election eventually took place.

General Secretary
Leading the Executive team as President is Mr. Adeniji Omirin (MD, Adnom Media Ltd), who was returned for the 2nd term in office, supported by a new face in the Executive but an Industry veteran in Alhaja Aminah Muhammad (MD, Aims Media Company Ltd.) as the Vice President and Mr. Alayande Stephen T. (MD, Eagles House Global Resources) also returned as the General Secretary for the 4th time having served the Association meritoriously over the years.

Assistant General Secretary
The full cabinet includes a diverse group of industry players who has contributed and still contributing to its growth.

Financial Secretary
Mrs. Adeola Dada (MD, Charis Media Consulting Ltd.) also returned as the Assistant General Secretary), Dr. Anita Agarry-Oke (MD, Zee Media Services Ltd.) also returned for the 5th times as the Finance Secretary, Mrs. Elizabeth Ehigiamusoe, (MD, Vivid View With Ehiliz Ltd. ) was voted as the Treasurer, while Mr. Sebastine Okoromi (MD, Romistine Media Ltd.) took over the position of the Public Relations Officer (PRO)

PRO
The other two executives were Hajia Latifah Dele-Lawal (MD, HT Ventures Ltd) was elected as the Welfare Secretary, to be ably assisted by Mts.Stella Maris Duru (MD, Chuchin Ultimate Productions Ltd..) as the Assistant Welfare Secretary.

The oath of office taking and the official swearing-in of the officers was carried out by esteemed members of the EMCOAN Board of Trustees (BOT) as represented by Madam Agatha Amata and High Chief Emeka Ossa ( two industry veterans), who charged the new leaders to uphold the integrity and growth of the media content industry.

Social/Welfare Secretary
In the word of Mr. Adeniji Omirin, President of EMCOAN, “we are poised to continue the good work which is to primarily defend the interest of our members welfare, strengthen partnership and collaborations with different industry stakeholders to enhance EMCOAN positioning, visibility and strategic alignment. The Nigerian media content industry is currently at a crossroads where tradition meets technology. We cannot afford to relax now but to continue to forge ahead stronger in this multi-dimensional media content digital landscape, he averred proudly.

Assistant Social/Welfare Secretary
This new administration is poised to enhance the value proposition of content owners and foster stronger collaborations within the Nigerian broadcasting/ Content and Advertising ecosystem.
