Federal Government Boosts Security Measures in Bwari After Islamiyyah School Bombing

The Federal Government has stepped up efforts to prevent another tragedy after the recent suicide bombing at an Islamiyyah school in Kuchibiyu Community, Bwari Area Council.

Mariya Mahmoud, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, led a team of security operatives to the community, assuring residents that their safety is a top priority.

The team, including key security officers such as FCT Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu and Chairman Bwari Area Council John Gabaya, has set up security measures in the community and Bwari Area Council. Mahmoud acknowledged the fear of insecurity among residents, emphasizing that the government will cooperate with security agencies to strengthen safety in Kuchibiyu.

“Investigations are underway, and heightened security measures have been put in place to prevent any further incidents. During this time, let us remain vigilant but not give in to fear. Stay informed through verified sources, cooperate with security agencies, and support one another as a community,” Mahmoud said.

Mahmoud also extended condolences to the families of the victims, urging residents to go about their daily activities as usual. The government’s fast response aims to reassure residents of their commitment to safety and security.
