Dr. George Nwaeke, the former Head of Rivers State Civil Service, has made some shocking allegations against suspended governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Nwaeke claims that Fubara ordered the bombing of the state House of Assembly complex in 2023 to prevent his impeachment by lawmakers loyal to Minister Nyesom Wike.
Nwaeke revealed that he witnessed a bag of money being handed over to Edison for the operation, although he didn’t know the exact amount. He also challenged Fubara to an open confrontation, saying, “I want to tell Rivers people today that the house of assembly complex in Moscow Road was clearly brought down by Edison Ehie under the instructions of Gov Siminilayi Fubara. I challenge him to an open confrontation and I will throw more light on it.”
However, in a dramatic twist, Nwaeke’s wife, Florence, has raised concerns about her husband’s safety and authenticity of the interview. She claims that the man in the interview was not her husband and that she hasn’t been able to reach him since he traveled to Abuja. Florence has sent messages to her husband, asking if he’s under duress or being held hostage, and has even begged Fubara for help, saying, “Governor, help me. My husband is in trouble. He is in trouble.”
