Adekunle Gold, Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has shared heartfelt insights into his family life.
He emphasized that his wife, Simi, and daughter, Adejare, are the driving force behind his every move.
In a recent podcast on NotJustOk, Adekunle Gold said that he focuses on giving his daughter a better life than he had growing up.
He explained that the desire to provide a better life for his child inspired his song “My Love Is The Same.”
Adekunle Gold stated the importance of family. He said, “All I wanted is to do more for my own daughter because I can’t afford to bring her to the kind of life that I grew up living. It has to be way better, and that’s why I’m working hard.” He further said that while he may be willing to accept failure in his music career, he could never tolerate failure as a father or husband. He said, “My family is my centre. I don’t joke with my family. I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father or a man. That’s not negotiable for me.”
