Kemi Omotosho has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, effective January 2026, following John Ugbe’s retirement.
John Ugbe, who has led the company for almost 15 years, is handing over the reins to Kemi Omotosho, who brings over 20 years of experience in media, telecoms, and digital services in Nigeria and Africa.
Kemi Omotosho was previously Regional Director for Southern Africa, and has a lot of experiences in customer value management and regional leadership. Expressing her excitement about leading the company in a dynamic market, she said that it is a privilege to be entrusted with the leadership of MultiChoice Nigeria.
The leadership change is part of a planned transition aimed at ensuring continuity and stability. Kemi Omotosho plans to focus on strengthening consumer relationships, promoting local storytelling, and building a future-ready organisation.
