Lagride, Lagos’ top smart mobility platform, has launched the Omni, a low-cost, air-conditioned shared-ride service designed for groups. It offers a modern alternative to traditional Korope minibuses.
This provides a safer, cleaner, and more coordinated transportation option for offices, churches, schools, and community events.
The Lagride Omni boasts spacious, air-conditioned vehicles with GPS tracking, accommodating up to six passengers, and operated by certified drivers trained through the Lagride Academy. Users can book via the Lagride app or WhatsApp, enjoying direct, door-to-door service at competitive prices.
At the launch, Chairman Chief Diana Chen emphasized the Omni’s role in democratizing mobility, saying, “Mobility fuels opportunity. By making modern transport accessible and affordable, Lagride aims to foster a more connected Lagos where movement enhances community and growth.”
Acting Managing Director Mr. Jubril Arogundade stated the service’s efficiency. He said, “One booking can bring friends, colleagues, or congregation members together for a safe and comfortable ride. This is Lagos moving smarter, faster, and more inclusively.”
The Omni service offers flexible route coordination, corporate billing, prepaid options, and cashless payments, making it suitable for various users and occasions. Lagride plans to recruit 1,000 new drivers, providing training and certification, and creating sustainable income opportunities.
This initiative revolutionizes group transportation in Lagos, providing a convenient, affordable, and comfortable solution for residents.
