By Oyinkansayo Wole-Bodunde.

The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) is set to host the fourth edition of the Nigeria Electronic Media Content Exhibitions and Awards (NEMCEA 2025). It is scheduled to take place on September 16-17, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.

This year’s event promises to be a landmark gathering for media professionals, content creators, and industry leaders from across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.

The central theme for NEMCEA 2025 is “Sustainable Content Creation in a Fragmented Media Landscape.” It aims to address the critical challenge of creating and monetizing high-quality content in the midst of scattered audiences across countless platforms and devices.

According to Mr Stephen Alayande, The Project Director of NEMCEA 2025 and General Secretary of EMCOAN, “the conference will feature thought-provoking panel sessions and discussions on Audience Engagement, Cross-Sector Collaboration, Content Monetization, and Technology-Driven Storytelling.”

A significant new addition to the program is the AI in Production Masterclass, taking place with the main event on September 16th and 17th. In partnership with Ingro Systems, this masterclass will introduce participants to using artificial intelligence in various aspects of content creation, including: Video Editing, Scriptwriting, Graphics, Cinematography, and Audience Engagement.

Mr. John Orakwe, an award-winning AI strategist, will facilitate the session, exploring both opportunities and ethical considerations. Mr. Adeniji Omirin, President of EMCOAN, said, “We are privileged to have as our lead facilitator, Mr John Orakwe, an award-winning AI strategist and one of the world’s top AI educators, who has trained thousands of business leaders across several countries. With him, we will explore both the opportunities and ethical considerations of AI in media production. This is a bold step forward. It is evidence of our belief that Nigeria’s creative and electronic content industry must not be left behind in the global digital transformation. By equipping our professionals, students, and emerging creators with these skills, we position Nigeria not just as a consumer of global media technology, but as a producer of content and innovation that can stand on any stage in the world.”

The event will also feature a Director-General Roundtable. Mr Stephen Alayande, The Project Director of NEMCEA 2025 and General Secretary of EMCOAN, said, Director-General Roundtable: A first-of-its-kind gathering that will bring together heads of regulatory bodies and key industry players to discuss policies and initiatives that will foster growth and innovation within the electronic media ecosystem. This exclusive session aims to bridge the gap between content creators, advertisers, broadcasters, exhibitors, content owners, and regulators, paving the way for a more streamlined and profitable industry.”

The NEMCEA awards night will celebrate individuals and organizations who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and creativity in the electronic media content space.

By combining the strengths of industry expertise, innovative technology, and collaborative dialogue, NEMCEA 2025 promises to be an amazing event for the electronic media content industry in Nigeria and beyond.
