TikToker, Peller has spoken out for the first time after being arrested and detained by the Lagos State Police Command.
He apologized to Nigerians in a video message, saying, “I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again. I’m very sorry, please. For now, I am on medication. Once I am done with my medication, I will be online.”
The controversy surrounds Peller’s recent breakup with his girlfriend Jarvis, who mentioned his emotional control issues as a reason for ending their relationship.
The police said that Peller’s actions, which included driving recklessly while livestreaming, were a deliberate attempt at self-harm and threatened other road users.
The incident happened on December 14, 2025, on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos.
The case is now with the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation, and Peller will face court charges soon. Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh warned social media influencers against promoting reckless behavior online, emphasizing that there will be consequences.
