Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna has spoken on criticism she received for partying shortly after her sister’s burial.
A video of her clubbing with Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels led to backlash on social media, with some users accusing her of being insensitive.
In a message on her X account, Phyna said that mourning is a personal experience. She said, “Grief has no manual, no fixed face, and no timetable. The fact that I choose to keep living, smiling, or sharing moments does not erase the pain I carry. Respect the process, even if you do not understand it. If you cannot extend compassion, then at least extend silence.”
Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, passed away in a tragic accident involving a Dangote truck in August, and was laid to rest in September.
