Nigerian music artists, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have finally made peace after a seven‑year dispute that started on social media.
The disagreement started when Yemi Alade posted a comment, criticizing female performers for using photos that “enhance their buttocks” to mislead fans. She made the comment hours after Tiwa Savage shared pictures that showed her curves.
Tiwa Savage responded by warning Yemi Alade not to start a conflict she couldn’t finish.
The reconciliation happened in Lagos, on Thursday during the “The Price of Being Her” panel, hosted by Entertainment Week Africa. In a viral video, Yemi Alade told Tiwa, “I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength.”
Tiwa Savage became emotional and was later caught on video singing and sharing a hug with Yemi Alade after the event.
